Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to remember more than one million victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis.
The memorial was opened in 2004 on the 10th anniversary of the killings. It’s built on a site where more than 250,000 victims of the genocide were buried. Many people who lost loved ones in the massacre visit to remember and grieve. There is no entrance fee, but donations are accepted.
