DAY 1: Arrival in Ghana

Met upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport and transferred to your 4* hotel where you are booked on Bed & Breakfast. Upon arrival at the Hotel, you will be briefed on the rest of the tour program. Rest of the day at leisure at the Hotel.

DAY 2: Ghana (Full Day at Leisure)

Breakfast and then enjoy a day at leisure at your 4* hotel where you are booked on Bed & Breakfast Basis.

Breakfast at 0900 hrs, commence the day's excursions the tour has been arranged to give travelers a local experience that connects them to the Ghanaian culture and people. It also educates travelers on the lives of important people like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and WEB Dubois and also gives travelers a feel of some of the oldest towns of Accra. Travelers also get the chance to try some Ghanaian local dishes, interact with some locals, observe their lives and try some local habits like eating some street foods.

Start at W.E.B. DuBois Center, 1 Circular Road, Cantonments just few meters from the US Embassy and close to Ghana International School, Accra Ghana - The center is named after William Edward Burkhardt Du Bois who was an African-American civil rights activist and later became a citizen of Ghana in the 1960s. He is often known as the 'Father of Pan-Africanism'. The center is where he once lived with his wife and where they are now buried. It houses his personal library, a small museum with a handful of personal effects such as his graduation robes. The mausoleum is surrounded by Asante stools, a seminar room, a restaurant, a gallery, an amphitheater and a research center for Pan-African history and culture.

Independence Square, Accra Ghana - This is one of the biggest squares in the world which was designed for huge events, military marches and commercial events such as concerts and fashion shows, which take place throughout the year. It was commissioned to honor the visit of Queen Elizabeth II. The roundabout before the square contains in the center, the Black Star Gate also known as the Black Star Monument which was built in 1961.

Center for National Culture, 28th February Rd Near Nkrumah Memorial Park & Mausoleum, Accra Ghana - Travelers can browse through the art center which is a market for made in Ghana products ranging from clothes to bags to accessories, art works and wooden sculptures. Travelers can make purchase of items that catches their eye.

Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, High St., Accra Ghana - This Memorial Park tells the history of the life of Dr. Nkrumah and his struggle for independence. It also contains personal belongings Dr. Nkrumah, his final burial place and that of his wife.

Breakfast at 0900 hrs, commence the day's excursions with a Cape Coast Tours. Visit the castles of Cape Coast and spend time in Kakum National Park with this tour from Accra. You'll visit Cape Coast Castle, which now hosts a historical museum and gift shop before heading to Elmina Castle, where you'll learn about its role in the harrowing Atlantic slave trade. You'll wrap your tour up at Kakum National Park, home to hundreds of bird species along with a variety of mammals.

Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana - Cape Coast Castle is one of the largest of the castles built by European powers in today Ghana. It began as a trade lodge constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 on a part of the Gold Coast, which later became known as the Cape Coast. In 1653, following Sweden's conquest of the Cape Coast, the Swedish Africa Company constructed a permanent wooden fortress for trade in timber and gold. It is open to the public and is currently a historical museum with Ghanaian arts and crafts gift shop, and it is the regional headquarters of Ghana Museums and Monuments Board.

Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana - The Park is made up of mostly undisturbed virgin rainforest and is one of the famous national parks in Ghana. It protects plant and animal treasures of the African tropical forest. Trails provide self-guided day hiking opportunities where you may sight some of the over 200 bird species represented: the parrot, bee-eaters, blue plantain-eaters, hornbills, and kingfishers. The dense vegetation provides cover for globally endangered species such as the forest elephant and bongo - the largest forest antelope, as well as various types of monkeys. The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides a treetop view of the beautiful forest.

DAY 6&7: Ghana (Full Day at Leisure)

Breakfast followed by hotel check out at 1000hrs, later transfer to Kotoka International Airport for your departure flight back home/onwards flight at own arrangements.
